Hi Parenting students - I am not sure who texted my home phone - my husband answered and didn't write your number down. It the strap on your wrist is hampering the chime for your baby then try cutting the strap and just use the chime button. Be very careful not to loose it!
It could be that you are just a little impatient waiting for it to chime. Hold the chimer close to the baby and give it a few seconds. Also....if you have let the head drop the baby will scream for 2 minutes continuously and it will not chime

Tuesday - test...this one is a long one with lots of information to cover. Be sure that you review
Knowledge - 15 marks......15 multiple choice questions
Application - 19 marks.....all fill in the blanks
Thinking - 20 marks.....diagram to label for 5 marks, short answer questions for 15 marks (5 questions x 3 marks each)
Communication - 13 marks.....vocabulary worth 10 marks, short answer question for 3 marks
Total = 67 marks
Wednesday - we are back at CPS with our buddies
Thursday - Friday - Newborns and adjusting to parenthood
Thursday you will begin a project on birthing in other cultures

Wow - last week was busy! This week is also shaping up to be as well
Monday - We are continuing with prenatal development and will begin with labour and delivery

We need to have a test on pregnancy/prenatal development and delivery....I am thinking that Friday would be a good day..

Fitness Nov 11 - 15
This week is also a busy one....Miss Carter has organized a guest to spend 3 days with us, and you will be participating in and learning about tai chi. If you were in Fitness last year you will remember Mr Kelly. We will meet in the fitness room as usual and then head to the small gym
Monday /Tuesday/Wednesday/ - Tai Chi with Mr Kelly
Thursday and Friday - fitness testing resumes....we still need to do the beep test
I also need to see two more presentations.....Curtis and Jordan as well as Gavin, Chris and Tyler.
We will have a short review of each of the stress reductions methods and we need to set a date for a short test. I would prefer this Friday.

FITNESS Nov 4 - 8
I hope you were able to be active this weekend, particularly in the sunshine on Sunday. Here is a look at the upcoming week:
Monday - it is November......we do the stairs x4 this time. When we are done we will head back to the fitness room and there will be a few minutes to finish up your stress-strategies presentations if you still need to do that. Then we will be watching the presentations and learning from one another. I will also try to post the presentations here as you will need that information for your next quiz.
Tuesday - Presentations if we still need to finish....then we will do fitness testing - we have already redone the 1.5 mile run - be sure to write that number in the appropriate column in your book.
Wednesday - Fitness testing
Thursday - I have scheduled us at the YMCA because tomorrow is a PD DAY. However, today is the remembrance assembly at 1pm and I am not sure if it will be done in time for us to leave at 2pm. I will find out more details and I may need to move our Y visit to Wednesday.
