Gerontology February 23 - 27

Here is a look at the upcoming week -

Monday - I am away at the Board office.  There are 3 or 4 of you who need write Friday's test yet and many who need to hand in the movie review from a week and a half ago. Today you will be looking at your profile on MY Blueprint

Tuesday - I am not sure if we will go to Huronview today or not. - It depends if the outbreak is over or not...otherwise we are starting to look at the inquiry process and will continue for the remainder of the week

HSP 3U February 23 - February 27

Here is a look at the upcoming week:

Monday - I am away at the Board Office - you will get started on answering the question what makes us human by looking at anthropology and Canadian Culture

Tuesday - Inquiry project presentations -

Wednesday - finish up inquiry presentations if necessary and then get back to anthropology - starting with cultural anthropology

Thursday - Friday ...we need a quiz on the inquiry process and the intro to anthro, psychology and sociology ...one of these two days

Gerontology test on Friday

Here are some details.....

Be sure to know the medical specialties - who does what
Review CPR notes that you took with Miss Carter
Review germs and hand washing - how to do it properly and when should you hand wash (hint...after using the washroom, if you sneeze into your hand etc)
Be able to tell time with he 24 hour clock
Ensure you can label the human skeleton

Here is a quick look at the upcoming week

Monday - Happy Family Day!

Tuesday - continue working in your group on your inquiry - you should have your survey printed off and ready to go....data collection is your priority today

Wednesday - Data collection and analysis

Thursday - Data analysis, presentation work and getting ready to present starting tomorrow

Friday - finishing touches on inquiry and beginning of presentations

Looking ahead to next week.....finishing presentations and a start on anthropology

Hi there and welcome to week 2.  Here is a look at what is on the schedule this week

Monday - finish up "On Golden Pond"  - think about the movie and remember you will be writing a movie review when everyone has seen the entire movie.  Health Concerns for the elderly - germs and hand washing

Tuesday - Finish health implications...look at medical specialists

Wednesday - 24 hour clock, blood pressure, heart.....a chance to work on your movie review

Thursday - skeletal System

Friday - Movie review due today

Remember next Monday is Family Day and Tuesday first thing we are heading to Huronview for our tour.

SEMESTER TWO

Hello to my new classes HSP 3U and IDC 40!

I was originally scheduled to see you Friday January 30 and here is it February 2nd and I haven't met you yet!

When we finally get to school this week we will spend the first few days settling in - we need to accomplish the following:

-get to know each other
-check out course info sheets, learn about the upcoming semester
- sign in to EDMODO
-sign up for Remind
-create accounts in Showbie and Skaffl
-get into the first assignment....I have it ready to go already
