Fitness March 25 - 29

Monday - Fitness testing in the fitness room.  Follow the handout to ensure you complete all the fitness tests and get the results written down in your book.

Tuesday - BEEP TEST

Wednesday - Nutrition Day - Hydration and nutrition for the athlete
 - we will taste a number of athletic power/protein bars and try to see if you know the difference between gatorade and poweraid.

Thursday - to the YMCA - meet in the Front Hall with your gym clothes and your change of running shoes.

Friday - Good Friday and Easter Break - ENJOY!

REMEMBER WE HAVE A NUTRITION TEST NEXT FRIDAY!

Nutrition March 25 - 29

Monday - finish viewing Hungry for Change and try juicing

Tuesday - Begin Meal planning

Wednesday - Meal planning continued...begin assignment

Thursday - Class time to work on meal planning assignment - hand in today at end of class or on Tuesday morning when you return from the Easter Break

Friday - Good Friday - Easter Weekend,  Enjoy!

Nutrition March 18 - 22

Welcome back - I hope you Break was wonderful!

Here is a look at what is coming up this week:

Monday - finishing touches on your research projects...yes we will have to remember back to what we were doing a week ago :)  We will start with presentations

Tuesday - Video - about food choices and advertising

Wednesday - lesson on baking and ingredients

Thursday/Friday - divide into groups and cook...perhaps muffins again or biscuits

Welcome Back - I hope your March Break was wonderful and you made time to be physically active every day!

Here is a look at the upcoming week:

Monday /Tuesday - workout days in the fitness room.  We will do some workouts together but for the most part you are following you personal plan

Wednesday - Nutrition Day - do not change and come to room 109

Thursday  - a workout day in the fitness room...ensure your fitness logs are up to date as I will collect your books to mark

Friday - To the Central Huron YMCA

REMINDERS:


BRING YOUR GYM CLOTHES TO EVERY CLASS
COME PREPARED TO PARTICIPATE - THIS IS A PARTICIPATION BASED CLASS

Here is a look at the upcoming week

Monday - one  group to present fitness demonstration today(Dominic, Jordan, Justin), group warm up and workout, work on individual fitness plans

Tuesday - Sam and Cassie to present fitness demonstration, group warm up and workout, individual fitness

Wednesday - Nutrition day - you do not need to change

Thursday - Group warm up and work out and then individual workout

Friday - Group warm up and work out then individual workout


HAPPY MARCY BREAK - Plan to be active at least 30 minutes every day

MARCH IS NUTRITION MONTH


Hope you had a great weekend!  Here is a look at what we will be doing this week

Monday - working in your groups to complete your Nutrition surveys.  You will be working on the iPads

Tuesday - Assembly on internet safety

Wednesday - work on your research assignment

Thursday - 1/2 the group will Bake muffins while the other 1/2 works at their seat (on your research assignment)

Friday - we switch groups
