Your quiz on Friday will cover the following:

Types of fitness - eg, spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, social

Wellness

Canada's Food Guide

Components of fitness - e.g. power, muscular strength and endurance, agility, balance, cardio etc.

Muscles - you will be labelling a diagram!

BE SURE TO GO OVER YOUR NOTES!

Nutrition Feb 25 - Mar 1

Here is a look at the upcoming week

Monday - school climate conversation, those away on Friday to write test, cooking tools, reading recipes

Tuesday - We will split the group in 1/2 and 1/2 will bake cookies to practise your measuring skills and the other 1/2 will be at your desks working on a lesson about why we eat what we do

Wednesday - We switch groups today - the other 1/2 bake cookies

Thursday - Social Science Research - lesson on research, surveys etc.

Friday - creating your own surveys

PAF 20 February 25 - March 1

Here is a look at the upcoming week:

Monday - warm up, 100 challenge, divide into groups to work on fitness exercise presentations

Tuesday - School climate conversation - Fitness presentations

Wednesday - Nutrition Day, please do not change and come directly to room 109

Thursday - warm up, group fitness activity, individual goal setting and creating fitness plans

Friday - warm up - group fitness activity and finish creating individual fitness plans, work out

Remember to have proper gym clothes and shoes each day and to bring your $20 for the Y

SNOW DAY # 2 WEDNESDAY FEB 20

Yes another snow day

PERSONAL FITNESS:

We will go ahead with workouts tomorrow and leave nutrition for next Wednesday.  Come with physed clothes please

Remember it is the Y on Friday

NUTRITION

We will finish up with food safety tomorrow and still have our test on Friday - it has 10 questions, some short answer, some matching, some true false and it is out of 31 marks.  See yesterday's post to get the topics.  I have review sheets for you for tomorrow

SNOW DAY UPDATE

Nutrition:


With today's (Tuesday's ) snow day we will reschedule our nutrition test to Friday

Course Selection will now be on Friday after our test....remember your Blue sheets


Fitness:

Personal Fitness students please come ready for a nutrition day tomorrow (Wednesday) as we need to get going on that topic.

Also there are a great number of fitness students who still need to return the physed medical info sheet.  Please do that ASAP

Tuesday - we will finish up the topic of food storage and head to the computer room to input your course selection sheets for next year.  Bring your blue sheets please

Wednesday - a quick review for tomorrow's test and on to the topic of kitchen equipment

Thursday - quick test - ...it is out of 31 marks, you need to know food storage, hand washing, kitchen safety, group work essentials, how to measure, Shrove Tuesday, What influences our food choices

Friday - I hope to be cooking again

Friday - our first trip to the Y for orientation.........please bring your walking permission form and $20
